Nancy Lipson, MSW, RSW

I am a trauma focused and somatically informed therapist specializing in the treatment of eating disorders, trauma and related issues for the past 19 years. It can be hard to know and accept yourself in the midst of challenges in life. Accepting yourself becomes your anchor that can keep you grounded during difficult times.Therapy can help you find this acceptance.

I realize that no two people are the same and as such tailor my therapy to meet the specific needs of my clients.Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression or any other issue, I will help you recognize underlying problems, fully realize your strengths and adjust certain behaviors and thoughts to see things a different, healthier way.My practice specializes in treating individuals.

Humanistic Therapy

Try Therapy...

  • Even if you have seen multiple therapists

  • Even if you believe you are not “sick enough” to deserve help

  • Even if you feel your upbringing was not that bad

  • Even if you feel you just have to try harder in relationships and in life

  • Even if you feel you do not deserve compassion

Is therapy right for you?

"Maybe my eating disorder isn't bad enough to deserve help"
"My childhood wasn't that traumatic"
"I just need to try harder in my relationships"
If any of these sound familiar, you're exactly who I love working with.

Insurance

As a Registered Social Worker in Ontario, my services are covered by many workplace benefits that include Social Work. Depending on your workplace benefits you may have coverage.I’d recommend asking these questions to your insurance provider to help determine your benefits:

  • Does my benefits plan include mental health services from a Social Worker?

  • Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet?

  • Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have? If so, what is the limit?

  • Do I need written approval from my primary care physician in order for services to be covered?
